House of Aureum

The House of Aureum is a fictional family created by Halsey for her sophomore studio album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. The house is an essential part to the album's story and concept and parallels the Montague family in William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. The house opposes the House of Angelus.

Halsey's character Luna Aureum is part of this house.

Background

The House of Aureum parallels the Montague family of Romeo and Juliet. Therefore, it is considered the "bad" house. Aureum is Latin for Golden.

"The Aureum clan are kinda like this gang family. They are a little more violent and they are kind of like desires of the flesh. They love drugs, they love sex. They love living in the Hopeless Fountain Kingdom because they believe they are free to run in this purgatory with their heart's desire and their own will. It's really dark, it's really seedy. The people are untrustworthy. But I'm here with my best friend Tybalt who I can trust with anything. She's loyal, she's always got my back, she's a soldier but she's on my side."

Characteristics

Not much is known about the House of Aureum, because they are very mysterious & keep mostly to themselves. Those in the house are considered more bold and rebellious. They are adventurous and often can get into trouble. This house is more dirty & callous, & they will kill with no regret, but they are too good to go to Hell.
